What is Guidance?
 To direct, to point out, to show the path
 It is the assistance or help rendered by more
experienced to a less experienced person to solve a
certain major problem of the individual i.e.
educational, vocational, personal etc..

 As a concept, it is concerned with the


optimal development of the individual.
What is Guidance?
 As a process, it helps the individual in self-
understanding and self-direction.
 Guidance is the help and advice about how to do
something or how to deal problems connected with
your work, education and personal relationships.
What is Counseling?
It refers to a professional services, provided to an
individual who is facing problem and needs help to
overcome the problem.
Counseling is considered to be an integral and central
part of guidance.
It is a two-way process that involves two individual
and mutual cooperation between them.
