Academic Research

•Title
• The title should be clear and interesting otherwise
the reader will not continue reading.
• Authors’ names and affiliations are on the title
page.
•Abstract
• The abstract is a summary of your research. It is
nearly as important as the title because the reader
will be able to quickly read through it.
• Keep the sentences short and focused.
• Avoid acronyms and citations.
•Introduction
- Include background information on the subject and
your objectives
•Literature review
- Theoretical framework that you elaborated during
your research (including educational books, peer-
reviewed journals, and other relevant publications)
- Make sure to include the name of the relevant
authors you’ve studied + add a properly formatted
citation
•Methods
- The sampling strategy used, instruments, data
collection methods, and analysis strategies (qualitative/
quantitative/ mixed)
- Be descriptive, precise, and in detail
• Results
- Give specific information on what the findings are,
and their value, with suitable data included.
- Be presented in a straightforward and factual
manner (numerical figures, graphs)
• Discussion
- Evaluate gained results, compare it with past studies
- Explain data or findings in appropriate depth. (if
results differ from expectations at the beginning 
explain why that may have happened)
• Recommendations
- Propose potential solutions or new ideas based on
obtained results
- Suggest direction for further studies
• Limitations
- Research weaknesses
• Conclusion
- Final claims of a research paper based on finding.
- Final thoughts, summary of the whole work (may be
used instead of limitations and recommendations)
