SAFETY MOMENT
Sun Safety
• Wear light weight, loose-fitting protective clothing
• Use sunglasses / visors to protect eyes and face
• Wear sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher
• Limit your time in the sun, esp. between 10a-4p
when the sun’s rays are strongest
• Stay hydrated - drink plenty of fluids, even if you are
not thirsty. Avoid alcohol and caffeine
• Watch for signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke –
fatigue, nausea, confusion, disorientation, seizures,
loss of consciousness
