Induction of labor
Induction of labor - It is the decision to end the pregnancy.

Indications of induction of labor:


Any condition that endangers the life of the woman or the fetus if the pregnancy were to continue.
Post date pregnancy – a pregnancy that go beyond the expected due date.
Premature rupture of membranes (PROM).
Spontaneous rupture of membranes (SROM) without the onset of spontaneous labor.
Chorioamnionitis – infection of the fetal membranes.
Pregnancy induced hypertension.
Gestational diabetes.

amniotomy.
It is the use of amnihook to
rupture the membrane. This
process causes the body to
release prostaglandin that
would enhance labor.

Indications:
History of previous cesarean.
Labor dystocia (difficult labor).
Fetal distress.
Breech presentation (Buttocks or feet).
