3.1. MEANING OF CHECKPOINT

• It is a tool or a set of tests designed for students:


⮚ to evaluate students at the end of Cambridge Primary.
• It is an assessments
• It allows schools and students:
⮚ to identify and address learning needs to continue in reaching out the next
level.

• Cambridge issues a certificate of completion to each student.


3.2. PURPOSE OF CHECKPOINT?

1. Reports on customer feedback:


• Learners understand more about their strengths and limitations
• Teachers, parents and learners recognize strengths and limitations, which
can then act as a basis for cooperative action planning.
• To provide schools with a global benchmark of student achievement in order
to detect and solve learning needs.
• Schools use the feedback from Cambridge Primary Checkpoint assessments
to make strategic decisions

2. Report on the school


- For the entire topic, and each primary topic/skill has an average Cambridge
Primary Checkpoint score .
- A list of subtopics/skills with feedback on the learners’ performance.
4. Report on a teaching group
- Score for the whole subject and for each main topic/skill
- A list of subtopics/skills with comments on the performance of the group
scores of each learner on the subject and on each main topic/skill
- The marks scored by each learner on each question.
5.Report from a student - gives Information about:
• For the entire subject, a Cambridge Primary Checkpoint score
• Each primary topic/skill has a Cambridge Primary Checkpoint score.
• A list of the questions (and subtopics/skills) on which the candidate
performed exceptionally well or poorly.
• A declaration of accomplishment.
