RESULTS/
DISCUSSION

In 50 trials where the IR sensor and the Tilt

sensor were tested, both sensors passed the trials
as “Functional”. As such, the trials proved that
the sensors can indeed alarm drivers and notify
them of their drowsy state.

CONCLUSION

The IR sensor is functional in detecting the

closed eyelid of a drowsy driver for 3 seconds
and beyond. In addition to that, the tilt sensor is
also functional in detecting tilting movement of
the driver’s head.
