• “Principle” is a fundamental truth or rule that provides the foundation for a system or
practice, while a “method” is a specific technique or approach used to achieve a particular
result.
• In the sentence “Sharks also get caught, as do other sea animals,” “as” is used to suggest that
sharks and other sea animals are equal or similar in their susceptibility to being caught.
Alternatively, one could also say "Sharks also get caught, like other sea animals," which
suggests that sharks are similar to other sea animals in that they get caught. The difference is
in grammar.
