Farming among the

Farmers of
Barangay Cawagayan
 Introduction
Organic farming is a method of agriculture that
avoids the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides,
and genetically modified organism (GMOs), and
instead relies on natural processes and substances
to maintain soil fertility, control pests and
diseases, and promote healthy crop growth.
 Background of the Study

Organic farming has gained popularity in

recent years due to its potential benefits to the
environment, human health, and the economy.
However, the benefits of organic farming may
not be fully understood by all farmers,
particularly those who have been practicing
conventional farming for years.
 Statement of the Problem
The purpose of the study was to assess the Benefit of Organic
Farming in Barangay Cawagayan.

1. What is the profile of the farmers in terms of:

a. sex
b. age
2. What are the problems that the farmers encountered in
using the method of organic farming?
3. How effective organic farming is?
 Hypothesis

 Organic farming is not beneficial to farmers of

Barangay Cawagayan
 Respondents of the Study

The respondents of the study are

composed of fifteen (15) residents of
Cawagayan
 Presentation of Data

Problem Encountered

Based on the computed results, there are 12

respondents, or 8% who responded yes and 4
respondents or 2.67% responded no to the question
given, which means that using organic methods in
farming is a good practice that can make us healthy.
 Effectiveness

Based on the computed results, there are 15

respondents, or 1% who responded yes on five (5)
questions this proves that organic in farming is
effective or is beneficial to our environment and to
human health.
 Research Instrument

In this research, the researchers used a

questionnaire and it is consisted to three parts.
Part 1 of the research instruments consists of the
items which gathers respondents’ profile such as their
name, sex, and age.
Part 2 and 3 is a set of questionnaires that are
properly arranged by topic.
 Findings

 The effectiveness of organic farming was proven to

Barangay Cawagayan.
 Recommendations
The study is all about the benefits of organic farming, here are some of the
possible recommendations:

 To the farmers to start an organic garden in where you will use organic in
farming. They should also understand organic farming principles to familiarize
their selves with principles and practices of organic farming.

 To the future researchers, we recommend that they should conduct a long-

term study to provide valuable insights into sustainability and long-term benefits
of organic farming.
