1. Purposes of Assessment
◦ - Improving student learning is the primary goal of assessment.
◦ - Through assessment teachers can decide to re-teach, move on, or
change teaching strategies.
◦ - Evaluates whether or not Students are learning to read, write, and
do math.
◦ - Learn from mistakes
◦ - Intrinsic motivation and a pay off for studying very hard

◦ - is about verifying that what was specified is what was
delivered.
◦ - Evaluating deliverables to find erors.

Objective Test – In this test the ability of student is judged through


filling the blanks or selecting the correct answer among the multiple
options.

Subjective Test – Subjective tests are also called essay type tests.

Measurement is the quantifiable part of the testing process,
and it is required to gauge the efficacy of our programs and
the growth of our students. Without measurement, we do
not know what to assess.
