 Problem Description

Problem Definition – Need to publish back the same event reason in Job Information and Compensation
Information

Detailed Description - During the support ticket of Salary Planning the customer had the requirement
to published the same event reason in Job Information and Compensation Information in Employee Central
from Compensation for the promoted employees.
But as per the standardization solution proposed by the SAP, it didn’t have any synchronization of Event
Reason’s of Job information and Compensation Information. Therefore, we have found this customized
solution which help us to achieve the desired requirement of client.

Solution Provided – A custom column has been configured in the worksheet named as “Event Reason”
and EC Promotion mapping done to that column. After this we add “Event Reason” column ID to the XML
code in the template through Provisioning to achieve the desired requirement.

Launch Worksheet and provide Promotion to employee

Select the Event Reason and make changes in the job information as required and click on Save.

Once Promotion Save. The Event reason will reflect in the Event Reason Column. Now to complete
the worksheet.

 Future Scope

 This provide more clarity to top management regarding the changes perform in the Job Information and Compensation
Information through Compensation.
 This customized solution is also new for SAP as well when we discussed this with them over the meeting as they don’t
have any standardized solution to achieve this requirement.
 This can be a new innovation/ USP for us to introduce this to those clients who are more focused in customization side
rather that standardization.
