EDUCATION MISMATCH
• Defined as the lack of coherence between
the required and offered educational level
for a given job.
• it occurs when the level of education of
the person in employment does not
correspond to the level of education
required to perform their job.
Causes
1. We don’t have jobs crisis; we have a
skills crisis.
2. Educational Institutions are out od sync
with Employer needs.
• Primary and secondary educational institutions are not in touch
with corporate recruiter’s needs. Students agree that traditional
education methods don’t drive skills development.
3. Vocational Training has less perceived
value than academic degrees.
• Students in every country country value traditional education
over vocational education.
4. Students have weak understanding of
the skills and degrees that will best help
them find a job.

CONCLUSION
• Addressing the issue of “Education Mismatch”
in our country is something that we should all
take part as filipinos. This is not just for the
government to solve but for everyone.
Whether you are a student, parent, guardian or
a teacher, each one of us who’s part of the
labor force and who can guide the next
generation of filipinos have roles to play in
significantly reducing and if possible,
eliminating “Education Mismatch” once and
