WHAT IS INTERIOR DESIGNING?
Interior designing is a mixture of art and psychology to create functional spaces that
are aesthetically pleasing
it is more of an emphasis on planning functional design and the effective use of
space.

COLOR
Colors can help to create an illusion of bigger or a smaller room
also helps the space look aesthetically pleasing
LIGHT
Lighting can improve the mood of the room. For example, darker colors make a place feel
cramped and smaller, while lighter colors do the exact opposite
LINE
Lines can act as a focal point or be used to add a sense of height or width to a room –
Horizontal, Vertical, curve and diagonal
BALANCE
Balance is a principle of interior design that usually stabilizes a space
CONTRAST
Contrast can be achieved by placing two or more elements with
opposing characteristics together in a space
PATTERN
Repeating element or design that produces obvious directional movements. Patterns come in all
shapes and forms, and can be applied in a myriad of ways.
TEXTURE
An object's physical feeling or visual appearance
