•Bold Print and Italic –use to signal the
reader that the word is important.

•Charts, Tables and Graphs –used to


organize large amounts of info to small
space.
•Illustration –helps the reader to
understand the information in a visual
way.
•Caption –used to explain the

•User-friendly –easy to use, no extra effort to search
•Economical –inexpensive to produce or purchase

•Motivate and Engage –informational text can motivate


students to read, clarify confusions and extend their
learning and also it engage in natural
and social world.
PURPOSES

•To bring in a better communication and


understanding between the general public
and government
•To help the people know what’s
happening in the country about
the economy, social and political
situation.
LIMITATIONS
-The most obvious drawback of text as a knowledge building
and communication tool is that it lacks the inherent
expressiveness of speech.

-A transcript may accurately record the spoken words, but


the strategic and emotive qualities and impact of speech are
deminished in the page.

informational text is necessary as it feed kids one by one
information to what is happening around them.

•PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN
-The principles of good design are the tools used by an
artist or designer to create an effective composition or
design. They are rules to help guide a designer how to
arrange the various elements of a composition in relation to
each other and the overall design.
BALANCE
•Balance provides stability and structure to a
design. Balance is the distribution of the visual
weight of objects, colors, texture, and space. If
the design was a scale. These element should
be balanced to make a design feel stable.
SYMMETRICAL ASYMMETRICAL RADIAL
MOVEMENT
- is the path our eyes follow when we look at work of art.
This can be achieved by using repetition, rhythm, action.
Such movement can be directed along lines, edges, shape,
and color within the work of art. Movement ties the work
together by relating the various components of a work
together.
REPETITION/RHYTHM
•Rhythm is the repetition of visual movement colors,
shape, or lines.
EMPHASIS
•Is the part of a design that catches the viewers
attention.
CONTRAST

•Refers to the difference in values, colors,


textures, shape, and other element. Contrast
occurs when two parts of a design or page layout
are different, the greater the difference the greater
the contrast.
UNITY

•Is the feeling of harmony between all parts


of the work of arts which creates a sense of
completeness. Unity provides the cohesive
quality that makes an art work feel complete
and finished.
ALIGNMENT
• Alignment refers to lining up the top, bottom, sides, or middle of text or
graphic elements on a page. It is also the principle of design governing how
text and graphics lined up on each other.
