PART 3: REFLECTION
PART 4: APPENDICES
The second day of immersion shock the entire out of me. It’s our first
time doing that kind of activity. The knowledge and skills that we have were
not enough to perform such a work like that. At first, I thought it was easy but
I realize, you really can’t understand something if you haven’t experience that
exact scenario. I realized, doing that kind of work is not that simple as you
think. We never thought that cooking consumes a lot of time. I felt the tension
every time the customer follow-up their orders. I learned that you should have
more knowledge, skills and experiences in order to do the task better.
Thursday, the fourth day of immersion, was stressful. There were a lot of
customers who needed to be entertained, possibly because the news has spread
throughout the school that there are booths that sell food and beverages. They are
enticed to purchase our product simply because it is different than what is often
sold in the school canteen. It was also my first time promoting our product outside
the booth. I’ve been cooking only inside the booth for the past few days; interacting
with other customers to offer them our product is not my forte. At first, I was
hesitant to join my group mates who are in charge of promoting our product,
thinking that I would only be a burden to them. But I eventually realized that I also
needed to step out of my own comfort zone to experience other things that I had
never done before.
The last day of the week, which is also the fifth day of work immersion was
exhausting. I had a lot of things to do and accomplish at that time, so I felt really tired.
At first, I was assigned to cook and wait until 12 p.m. before we took our lunch. We
were preparing for the product testing when one of our batch mate talked to me and
said that I needed to attend a meeting. The said meeting lasted for an hour, and
before I could bid goodbye to my colleagues, I received a message that the teachers
selected for the food testing were already there. I was assigned to present our
product together with Mr. Sison and Ms. Malveda, so I hurried to our booth. I must
say that the presentation went well since I’m pretty sure that what we answered to
their questions was well clear and explained.

DAY 10 - MAY 19,
The last day of that week was memorable for me. Maybe
because it was also the last day of immersion. After we sell and
promote our product, we decided to pack up our things earlier than
the usual. We finished cooking our product before the clock strikes at
12 noon. After that, we take a rest and put away all the things
including the used tent. We returned our things to the classroom
while the monoblocks we used were returned to the covered court.
One of the best things that happened during our first week of
immersion was when Mr. Nahial bought a lot of our product. He gave it to
the students who helped him arrange the items to be used in his band.
Also, the famous couple, Mark and Ivan was a certified kekki. We were
given a chance to take a photo of them. And I was honored to give them my
service since Marc was my friend ever since we were in the 7 th grade, I
adore their relationship so much.
For me, these are the highlights for our second week of working
Immersion. A lot of things happened that week that gives me a lot of
realization in life.
