What we often fail to realize is that each of these sectors of our lives impacts
one another. That is where Whole Person Development comes in. Whole Person
Development is a practice based on the theory that different parts of our lives are
intricately connected. It views success and fulfilment as a product of overall life
balance.
This learning resource hopes to engage the learners into guided and
independent learning activities at their own pace and time. Furthermore, this also
aims to help learners acquire the needed 21st century skills while taking into
consideration their needs and circumstances.
In addition to the material in the main text, you will also see this box in the
body of the module:
As a facilitator you are expected to orient the learners on how to use this
module. You also need to keep track of the learners' progress while allowing them to
manage their own learning. Furthermore, you are expected to encourage and assist
the learners as they do the tasks included in the module.
By viewing the different aspects of our lives as a whole, rather than separately,
we can set ourselves up for a balanced and prosperous life.
This module was designed to provide you with fun and meaningful
opportunities for guided and independent learning at your own pace and time. You
will be enabled to process the contents of the learning resource while being an active
learner.

He trained crazily all day and all night when possible, waking
up the earliest and leaving the gym at the latest possible time. Early
on, his perseverance and determination to be a part of the boxing
world swayed him to cheat and add on some weights to meet the
featherweight class requirements.

Let’s Talk…
After reading the three stories of success, Do you think success can define as
the status of having achieved and accomplish an aim or objective? So what is
success then?
The only person that can answer the above is you. I a m neither able nor
willing to prescribe the ultimate definition of success, as this is not possible.
Every person is thinking about prosperous in life and is defining success in
another way, so there can’t exist a definition that is suitable for all. It is very
important that you know exactly how to define success in life. Make
yourself aware what accomplishment, success, and prosperity in general means to
you in your life.
Some might define success having luxurious cars and huge mansion,
whereas other consider a life full joy and happiness with their family as true
meaning of success. Once you have figured out what is important for you
personally you are able you focus on your vision and goals.
Being successful means the achievement of the desired visions, plans and
goals. Furthermore, success can be a certain a social status that describes a
prosperous person that could also have gained fame for its favourable outcome.
Do you think what success is? Is it wealth? Is it happiness? Is it fame? Succ es s can
be defined in many ways
If you are experiencing happiness, love, or adventure in this moment, you’ve
already found success. Keep it up.
"It is a terrible
fight and it is between
two wolves. One is evil
- he is anger,
envy,
sorrow, regret,
greed, arrogance,
self-pity, guilt,
resentment, inferiority,
lies, false pride,
superiority,
and
ego." He
continued,
"The other is
good - he is joy,
peace, love, hope,
serenity,humility,
kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion,
and faith. same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other
person, too."
The results of psychological research indicate that there are at least four
important concepts or ideas implied by the answer:
1. The mind is not the unitary entity it seems to u s but consists of different
parts. For example in the story there are the two wolves and the
“you” that chooses between them.
2. These parts of the mind/brain can interact and be in conflict with each
other
i.e. the two wolves fight for dominance over our mind and behavior.
