Take a Moment to 'Count Your Blessings'

There are certain times of the year when we stop and think about all the

things that make us happy or bring us joy. Some people even make a list of

these things. In English, we have a saying for this: to count your blessings.

When we count our blessings, we note all the wonderful things in our lives.

This helps us to appreciate how good life is. Thanksgiving is a time when

many Americans count their blessings. The United States observes this holiday

on the fourth Thursday in November.

International tourism

hits 2020 forecast two years early

Last year was a very good year for international tourism,

according to a new report from the United Nations World

Tourism Organization (UNWTO). In 2018, there were 1.4

billion international tourist arrivals, a figure the UNWTO

didn't expect global tourism to hit until 2020.

A long-term forecast from the UNWTO in 2010 predicted 1.4

billion international arrivals by 2020. Reaching it two years

ahead of forecast is due in part to stronger economic growth,

greater visa facilitation and more affordable air travel, the

report says.
Air Pollution May Affect Every Organ, Cell in the Body

Taking a long, deep breath is good for both our bodies and minds. It

supplies necessary oxygen to our blood and can help to create emotional calm.

However, in many parts of the world, a deep breath also brings pollutants into

our bodies.

For many people around the world, breathing polluted air has become the

new “normal.” On its website, The World Health Organization warns that

“91% percent of the world’s population lives in places where air quality is not

good enough”.
Eating More Plant Protein May Help You Live Longer

People who eat more plant-based protein may live longer than those who get

more protein from meat, a Japanese study suggests.

Researchers followed almost 71,000 middle-aged Japanese adults for an

average of almost 20 years. They compared people who ate the smallest amount

of plant protein to those who ate the largest amount. The researchers found that

those who ate the most were 13 percent less likely to die during the study. They

were also 16 percent less likely to die of health problems.

People are attracted to the harbor because it offers a beautiful view
