1. Who is Metrix Electrodynamics? 

METRIX ELECTRODYNAMICS is a single proprietorship company, stands in  a 3700 sq. ft., well 
ventillated  workshop  located  in  Bugo,  Cagayan  de  Oro  City.  We  specialize  in  the  electro-
mechanical works and repair of industrial motors, pumps, generators and transformers.
 
      Our commitment to help solving problems, productivity, quality workmanship, equipped with    
state-of-the art testing instruments and experience technical workforce, allow  us to offer the 
best value in the electromechanical works including electric motor, generator, and transformer 
rewinding,  redesign,  reconditioning,  rebuilding,  preventive  maintenance    services  and  non-
destructive tests.
 
     METRIX  ELECTRODYNAMICS  was  established  to  service  the  Mindanao  and  Visayas  Region.  It 
offers  warranty  and  24  hours  service  including  nondestructive  test,  in-plant  vibration 
analysis,overhauling,  dynamic  balancing  of  all  rotating  equipment  as  well  as  complete  drive 
systems consisting of AC and DC Variables.

2. How long has your company in business?

 
      The  company  started  in  year  1986  under  the  name  ALYC  ENGINEERING  the  collective 
expertise    and  long  years  of  experience  of  our  technical  men  enable  us  to  expand  and 
venture  into  other  field  of  engineering  services  thus  the  inception  of  METRIX 
ELECTRODYNAMICS, to provide unconditional excellence in quality and innovative solutions in 
motors,  generators,      transformers,  electro-mechanical  work  in  a  wide  variety  of  other 
services and sales offering. 
   
   Metrix Electrodynamics  is an active member  of EASA, an  international trade organization of 
electromechanical  sales  and  service  firms  through  out  the  world.  Through  its  many 
engineering and educational programs, EASA  provides members with a means of keeping up 
to date on standards, materials, equipment, and state-of-the-art technology.
Metrix  Electrodynamics  is  also  an  International  Associate  member  of  National  Electrical  Testing 
Association  (NETA),  an  accredited  standard  developer  for  the  American  National  Standard 
Institute  (ANSI)and  defines  the  standard  by  which  electrical  equipment  is  deemed  safe  and 
reliable. NETA is the leading source of specifications, procedures, testing, and requirements, not   
only for commissioning new equipment but for testing  the reliability and performance of existing 
equipment. 

Metrix  Electrodynamics  strictly  observed  and  guided  by  these  standard  and  specification  when 
conducting repair and testing of any electrical apparatus. 

3. What are the basic services you can provide?

3.1 MOTOR REWINDING, RECONDITIONING, REDESIGN, REPAIR AND SERVICING

 
    Metrix Electrodynamics is a full service facility for the electro-mechanical services and repair 
of industrial and agricultural motors with 24 hour service available. 
 
          Only  quality  materials  and  state-of-art  procedures  are  used  by  skilled  technicians  in  the 
repairing and  rewinding processes at Metrix Electrodynamics Workshop.
 
     Motor Rewinding Process Includes:

• Class  H  and  Class  F  insulation  system  which  maintain  its  integrity  to  180  deg.  Celsius  and   
155 deg. Celsius respectively to provide long motor life service.

• Nomex paper slot liners and heavy M/R class 180 deg. Celsius magnet wire.

•  Coils wound on semi-automatic winding equipment for  quality and consistency.

• Dynamic  Balancing  of  rotor  or  armature  for  significant  vibration  reduction.  These 
proceduresresults in longer bearing and equipment life.  
• Measurements  of  motor  winding  resistance  using  Digital  Low  Resistance  Ohmmeter  DLRO 
247002.

• Complete  testing  using  including  a  full  voltage  run  test,  surge  test  and  a  non-destructive  HI-
POT test to thoroughly inspect the quality of insulation.

• Induction  heating  of  rotor  bearings  for  smooth  installation  in  order  to  avoid  bearing  damage 
and shortened motor life. 

• Six (6) months parts and labor warranty for total rewound and three (3) months warranty for 
repair to assure your satisfaction.

3.2. DYNAMIC BALANCING Using IRD Model 246.

 
     Dynamic balancing provides for vibration free operation and longer life of your electric motor. 
Metrix  Electrodynamics  offers  in  both  in-house  and  on-site  balancing.  Our  IRD  Balancing 
instrument  features  a  super-sensitive  floating  suspension  system  that  permits  unbalance  to 
be  measured,  located  and  corrected.  Metrix  Electrodynamics  is  equipped  to  balance  units 
weighing  up  to  7500kg.  Balancing  service  is  available  for  all  rotating  machines  like, 
armatures,  fans,  rotors,  pulleys  and  shafts  for  both  industrial  and  agricultural  application 
either in or out of our facility.

3.3. THOROUGH TESTING

     Metrix Electrodynamics thoroughly tests every product to assure your complete satisfaction. 
 
     Test Includes:

• Non-destructive Hi-potential testing to assure insulation quality: Automatic measurement 
of  Polarity Index.

• Low-Resistance Measurements using Biddle DLRO. 
• Surge testing to evaluate winding quality and detect faults with hard copy result.

• Dielectric Strength Test.

• No-Load Test up to 250Hp at line voltage 230VAC, 40VAC, Phase, 60Hz.

Metrix Electrodynamics craftsmen have long years of experience in transformer repair, rewind,
redesign all oil filled single phase, three phase distribution and power transformer. 
 
It offers a full line of repair, test, preventive maintenance services. Staffed by skilled electricians
and engineers who have the experienced in power transformer, generators, and electrical 
systems.
 
 Electrical Systems Maintenance:
 
   Metrix  will maintain  your  electrical systems  in top operating  condition  by performing all 
necessary inspections, tests, and cleaning. 
  
Transformer Service & Repair:
 
     Metrix  have  the  capability  to  install,  repair, rewind,  reconditioned,  overhaul  and  conduct 
preventive maintenance services.

Generator Repair Services:

 
   Specializing in medium and high voltage equipment, we can repair, rebuild, and rewind DC
   motors and Generators.
 
· Transformer Oil Purification, Degassing and Filtering.
 
Metrix  Electrodynamics  offer  state-of-the-art  transformer  oil  processing  services.  This 
vacuum oil purifier refines insulating oil, maximum water content, maximum gas content,
     dielectric  voltage breakdown.  It has a capacity  of 2000 liters per  hour, operating vacuum of 
666Pa, Limit vacuum 90Pa  operating temperature 30-60 deg Celsius.
 
Our equipment and technical personnel are available for utilization 24 hours a day, 7
    days a week. Metrix Electrodynamics can purify your insulating oil anytime,any place.
