What is a hotel ? A hotel is an establishment that provides paid lodging on a short-term basis. The provision of basic accommodation, in times past, consisting only of a room with a bed, a cupboard, a small table and a washstand has largely been replaced by rooms with modern facilities, including en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning or climate control.

Major service industry in India. One of the fastest growing sector of our economy. India seconds China in the Asia Pacific region. It is valued at $23 million (Rs.11976 crores).

About 4.4 million tourist visit India every year.

The hotel market is expected to double by 2018.
