Meaning of schizotypal mental disorder
. Is a mental health condition characterized by a pattern of odd or
eccentric behaviour, unusual beliefs or magical thinking, and difficulties
in forming and maintaining close relationships.
Common symptoms
• A person with this disorder has great difficulties in establishing and
maintaining close relationships with others.
• Ideas of reference.
• Superstitious belief in magic or the supernatural.
• Hallucinations or bodily illusions.
• Odd thinking or speech patterns.
• Suspiciousness of those around them.
• Behavior or appearance that is odd or peculiar.
• Individual lacks friends other than perhaps first degree relatives.
