WHAT IS SEXUAL ABUSE OF
MINORS?
Fundamentally, sexual abuse against minors
involves direct or attempted sexual contact
between dependent and developmentally
immature children or adolescents and a
responsible adult.

Exhibitionism, exposure to pornography, taking
photographs of children in a sexualized manner,
voyeurism, communicating in a sexual way,

THE PERPETRATORS

 Studies show that majority of this revolting

crime is committed by someone known to the
victim. They can either be a friendly, relative
or close acquaintance or an authoritative
figure.

may suffer from shock, confusion, and even
some form of conscious guilt.
