INTRO
STRATEGY 1: Letter Perception
STRATEGY 2: Word Perception
STRATEGY 3: Word Comprehension
STRATEGY 1: LETTER PERCEPTION
These drills consist of a meaningless unit of letters on the left, followed by five units of
letters on the right. The key unit is repeated once among the five groups written on the
right.
With these types of tasks:
• Your reading comprehension and reading speed will improve.
• This task will help you see faster and more accurately.
• The more you practice, the better your reading skills will be.
• The letter units obviously have no meaning. So relax, let your eyesight do most of
the work.
• React quickly to each unit as a whole.
• Develop an easy but accurate left-to-right eye motion along the line.
• Don’t analyze your answers, expect to make some errors.
• Trust yourself and your eyes
EXAMPLE 1 – LETTER PERCEPTION
Find the identical unit as quickly as you can and cross it out, as in the following
example:

training

sentence in
context.
• Form a picture in your mind of the key word, then find the identical word as fast as
possible.
