SIGNIFICANCE OF THE
STUDY
This study aims to investigate, examine, and
pinpoint the obstacles affecting Grade 12
students' academic results. Teachers,
administrators, and politicians can create
specialized interventions and support systems to
help pupils get over these obstacles and succeed
academically by identifying these difficulties.

RESEARCH POPULATION
AND SAMPLE SIZE
All Grade 12 students enrolled at Ibona National High School for the academic year 2023–
2024 make up the research population for this study. There are 500 pupils in Grade 12
overall at the institution.
We will use stratified random sampling to gather a representative sample, making ensuring
that individuals from various socioeconomic origins, gender identities, and academic
achievement levels are sufficiently represented. Based on a margin of error of 5% and a
confidence level of 95%, the sample size will be determined.
SAMPLING
TECHNIQUE
The researchers employ a structured questionnaire,
which has a series of established questions with a
finite number of possible answers and is frequently
presented in a predetermined order. This kind of
questionnaire is well-organized and made to efficiently
collect particular information.
DESCRIPTION OF THE
RESPONDENTS

The respondents for this study will be grade 12

students that currently studying at Ibona National High
School with the year 2023 - 2024
RESEARCH
INSTRUMENT
The researcher’s will use random sampling technique
(such as using random number generators) to choose
the specific students who will make up the sample from
each stratum. As a result, each student inside a stratum
has a fair probability of being picked for the sample.
DATA GATHERING
PROCEDURE
Data collection for the study "Factors Affecting
Academic Performance of Grade 12 Students in
Ibona National High School" involves a
methodical and moral approach to gather
pertinent data.
STATICAL TREATMENT OF
DATA
in order to solve the problem the researcher’‘s will follow the
statistical technique or the formula

The formula is: P= f/N×100

Where in :
P= Percentage
f= frequency
N= total number of the respondent
