Sofievka Park
The 200-year-old Sofievka Park is a scenic
landmark of world gardening design
featuring sculptures, waterfalls, fountains and
ponds. Its history is very romantic: the park
was founded by a Polish tycoon as a present
to his wife.

the Reserve
houses a complex
of churches and
temples, a gallery
and unique
museums such as
the World’s
Smallest Things
Museum.
Aleksandria
Park
You can walk here for hours as
the Park occupies 200 hectares
of land, features 25 reservoirs
and 2,500 plant species. In the
18th century Aleksandria Park
was considered one of the best
in Europe. The best time to visit
it is the end of August when the
annual Air Balloons Festival
Alexandria Extravaganza – a
spectacular and beautiful show
– takes place here.
Khortitsa Island
•The largest island on the Dnieper River boasts a unique nature and more than
•hundred cultural and historical monuments.
•Ukrainian Cossacks, famous fearless warriors,
•inhabited Khortitsa in the 15th-18th cc.
The Reserve keeps the atmosphere of those times and the Cossacks’ way of life.
