The Registry of Exporters is the first step that an entrepreneur must follow to
start the export process before the Foreign Trade Single Window
MARKET STUDY AND LOCATION OF POTENTIAL DEMAND
The export requires initially a selection of markets, where you can determine
the specific characteristics of the country or region where you want to export,
the identification of possible distribution channels, the export price of your
product, the habits and preferences of consumers abroad
LOCATION OF THE TARIFF POSITION
To start your export process it is very important to know the difference between
a tariff and a tariff heading.
PROCEDURES FOR ITS APPROVAL
Once the product is ready and according to the negotiation terms, using
incoterms according to what we use as a cargo agent (airway) or maritime
agent for the contracting of international transport, a password is
requested to access the information system of the DIAN , in which the
application for authorization of shipment is processed if it has a value
lower than USD $ 10,000, if it exceeds this amount it must be done
through a customs agent which is authorized by the DIAN. Some
documents must be attached:
Commercial Invoice
Packing list (if required)
Sanitary records or Good looks (if required by the
product)
Transportation document
Other documents required to export the product
