 ORIENTATION

Tangled is a 2010 musical animated film directed by Nathan Greno and

Byron Howard and produced by Roy Conli, John Lasseter and Glen Keane
of Walt Disney Animation Studios. The script for this film was written by
Dan Fogelman based on the German fairy tale Rapunzel by the Brothers
Grimm. The characters in this film are voiced by Mandy Moore, Zachary
Levi and Donna Murphy. This film was released in Indonesia on December
16, 2010, with a duration of one hundred minutes and uses English.
 INTERPRETATIVE

Rapunzel, a young, innocent maiden, locked away by her very protective

mother on the tower. His hope to escape and see the outside world come true
when a kind thief climbs to his tower called Flynn rider (Zachary Levi). Not
wanting rapunzel bound to mother gothel, Flynn (Eugene) cut rapunzel's
long hair. As a result, the sun loses its power and turns brown. Mother gothel
also became very old, fell off the tower and disappeared into dust. Eugene's
dead, too. Rapunzel burst into tears, singing. His tears brought Eugene back
to life. They went to the palace and introduced rapunzel as the princess of
the king and queen. Finally, rapunzel and Eugene were married.
 EVALUATION
EVALUATION

In terms of story, fairy tales like this are probably very ordinary, and the ending is too
predictable. But it is the way of describing the characters in Tangled that makes this
animated film interesting and the character Flyn Rider managed to make me fall in love.
Apart from his very handsome visual appearance, his character is also difficult to predict,
but he likes to spread charm, which makes him "angry" and adds to his handsome aura.
The animators managed to create a very beautiful playing environment. From the
beginning of the film, our eyes have been spoiled by the animation and the characters who
are very alive and real. And the scene that amazed me the most and showed beautiful
special effects was when Rapunzel and Flyn Rider were in a lake full of lanterns.

EVALUATIVE SUMATION

The plot of this film contains various scenes that are fresh, funny, very
entertaining for the audience. Even though this film is too segmented
to be enjoyed by adults, the director and writer managed to make the
film Tangled capable enough to be enjoyed by both young and adult
audiences.
