Flying Abroad!

Passenger Jets

To get a ticket you must go to the
Check In Desk.
To enter a new
country you need to
show your Passport .
An airplane ticket
is called a
Boarding Pass.
At the airport you
have to go through a
Metal Detector at
Security.
If you make trouble you will
be Arrested by a Security
Guard.
The guards use
Walkie Talkies.
Bomb Sniffing Dog
searches for Explosives.
Your Luggage is made up of Suitcases
and Carry On bags.
You put you carry on bags in
the Overhead Compartment.
You pick up your Luggage
at Baggage Claims.
If you want to change your
money you need Exchange
your Currency.
If you buy
something abroad
you must be
checked at Customs.
Arrivals is where
incoming planes Land
and Departures is
where outgoing
planes Take Off.
If the plane will not be on time it
will be Delayed or Cancelled.
You board your
plane at a Gate.
Planes take off from the Runway.
An airplane needs Wings
and Jet Engines to fly.
A pilot Steers the
plane by moving
the Tail.
The Copilot helps
the pilot fly the
plane.
The best seats are First Class,
second best are Business Class,
and the cheapest is Economy
Class.
Do you want to sit
in an Aisle Seat or a
Window Seat?
You can escape through the
Emergency Exit.
Seats have a Tray
Table and a Foot Rest.
Passengers are served by
Flight Attendants.

Men are called Stewards and


Women are called Stewardesses.
The plane is
Crashing.
If you are crashing
in the water, put on
a Life Jacket.
You may need to wear
an Oxygen Mask.
At Air Traffic Control,
Air Traffic Controllers
tell planes where to go.
RADAR is used to see planes in the air.
