INTRODUCTION
Solar panels has been used increasingly in recent years to convert solar energy to electrical
energy.
The share of fossil fuels in meeting energy demand decreasing because human beeings started to
turn to clean sustainable energy sources to live in cleaner environment.
Therefore solar energy has an important place among renewable energy sources.
By using fixed solar panels we can generate power at moderate level. The aim of this project is
to generate maximum power with solar tracking system.

INDICATORS
Indicators help the system determine the position of sun in the sky
Single axis solar tracking systems have a positive environmental impact by reducing greenhouse gas emissions
and dependence on fossil fuels.
They also have a smaller land footprint compared to fixed systems, which can help preserve natural habitats.
However, the manufacturing process of the system components has its own environmental impact.
Increased Energy Production: By tracking the sun's movement along one axis (typically east-west), the solar panels can
maintain a more direct angle with the sun throughout the day. This leads to increased energy generation compared to
fixed solar panels.
Extended Operational Hours: Tracking systems can capture sunlight from dawn to dusk, which means longer daily
operational hours compared to fixed panels, especially during seasons with variable sun angles.
Lower Energy Costs: Increased energy production means lower electricity bills or increased savings for grid-tied
systems, making solar power more economically viable.
Smaller Panel Arrays: Because single-axis trackers can generate more power from the same panels, you may need a
smaller panel array to meet your energy needs, saving on installation costs and space.
EXPECTED OUTCOME
Increased Energy Output: Solar panels aligned with the sun can capture more sunlight throughout the day, leading to higher
energy production compared to fixed panels.
Enhanced Efficiency: Solar tracking systems can increase the overall efficiency of a solar installation, making it more
environmentally friendly.
FUTURE SCOPE
The future of single axis solar tracking systems looks promising with advancements in technology and increased demand
for renewable energy.
New materials and designs are being developed to make the systems more efficient and cost-effective. As solar energy
becomes more prevalent, single axis tracking systems will play a larger role in maximizing energy yield.
