CHARACTERS

A long time ago, on the north coast of Sumatera lived

a widow and her only son named Malin Kundang. STORY LINE

Malin Kundang is the only child who lives with his

mother. As a teenager, he decided to go abroad by MORAL VALUE
boarding a merchant’s ship.

In the middle of the journey, the ship Malin Kundang was on was
attacked by pirates.

All merchandise was confiscated, while the
crew and passengers were massacred.
Malin Kundang hid to save his life. After MORAL VALUE
being cast adrift at sea, the ship he was
traveling in ended up stranded on a beach

After the child is 17 years old, he must hand him over to

the giant.
STORY LINE
The child was named Timun Mas. They lived happily until
Timun Mas was 17 years old. The giant came to demand

In the midst of his anger, Toba uttered this taboo sentence, saying
