Assurance of Salvation
ASSURANCE OF SALVATION
The Rebirth Process
The rebirth process starts on the day we received Jesus as
Savior and Lord and a new relationship is established between Him
and us. (John 1:12). Because we believed in Christ, God gave us the
right to become His child.
Eternal Life in Jesus
Our present life is already hidden in Christ. Eternal life is not
something we get when we die, we possesses it the moment we have
accepted Christ (John 5:24).

1 John 5:12 “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of
God does not have life”
ASSURANCE OF SALVATION
1. As members of His flock, Jesus granted us eternal life.
(John 10:28)
2. No one can snatch out a believer from His hands.
(John 10:29)
3. Nothing can separate you from the love of God.
(Romans 8:35-39)
4. He will never leave His children and forsake them.
(Hebrews 13:5)
ASSURANCE OF SALVATION
How do you know you are saved?
1. The witness of the Holy Spirit.
Rom 8:16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s
children.
2. The word of God.
Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man,
that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he
promise and not fulfill?
3. The changed life.
*A person who truly accepted Christ into his life will show signs of
changes.
2Co 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the
old has gone, the new has come!
ASSURANCE OF SALVATION
Conclusion
The eternal life or the personal relationship we have with God
had been secured by God Himself. Nothing or no one can separate us
from the love of God, not even sin or Satan.
Therefore, firmly oppose any teaching or thought that tries to
cast doubt on the sure promise of God concerning our salvation. We
have been justified and saved, hence we can have right now the joy
and peace of God.

ASSURANCE OF ANSWERED PRAYER
Praying in Jesus Name
1. In order to receive things from God specially in doing the ministry
of God we must have faith that glorifies the Father. (John 14: 13)
2. We, His children must approach God through Jesus Christ. (John
14:6; 1 Timothy 2:5)
3. The reasons why God answers prayer:

John 14:12-14
I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even

greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you

ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for

anything in my name, and I will do it.

ASSURANCE OF ANSWERED PRAYER
Three Possible Answers
1. When the answer is YES
1 John 5:14-15
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask
anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears
us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him.”

2. When the answer is NO

ASSURANCE OF ANSWERED PRAYER
Three Possible Answers
3. When the answer is WAIT.

*Sometimes you prayer seems to have no answer but you

believe that you are in the will of God, in Hebrews 10:35-36,
God had purposely delayed the right answer to your prayer.
ASSURANCE OF ANSWERED PRAYER
We have a generous God. He challenges His children to ask not only
for small things but also for big things. (Daniel 11:32b)
Carrying great exploits for the Lord:

• Luke 11:11-13

"If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a

stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?

"Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? "If you then, being

evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your

heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"
ASSURANCE OF ANSWERED PRAYER
God offered His one and only Son as His guarantee
to His promises to answer your prayers. Note that He
already delivered the guarantee before you were even
born.
Yes brethren, God indeed hears and answers your prayers.

ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
God’s Promises of Forgiveness
Note that if God declares a promise, you can claim the
promise for yourself.
1. Jeremiah 33:8
'I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned
against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have
sinned and by which they have transgressed against Me.

When we fall to Sin
1 John 1:9
“He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our
iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.”

Right Attitude For Those Who Trespass Against You

Ephesians 4:32
“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving
one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.”

The Bible is very clear on forgiveness. We have a

forgiving Father who is willing and able to forgive a repentant
person completely. Let us confess our sins immediately.
If you cannot forgive, it becomes an unwanted
stronghold that will choke your life.
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
Beware of Satan’s Lie
Lie
“Don’t confess immediately. It’s very shameful for you
to approach God right away after committing a sin.”
“You are a bad Christian. God does not love you
anymore”.
“You must make sacrifices first before God will forgive
you.”
“Go ahead, keep on committing sins. After all, God will I John 3:9 No one who is born of God will continue to
forgive you when you confess to Him.”
Truth
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the
throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find
grace to help in time of need.
Romans 8:39 neither height nor depth, nor anything
else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the
love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Hebrews 9:28so Christ was sacrificed once to take
away the sins of many people; and he will appear a
second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to
those who are waiting for him.

on sinning, because he has been born of God.

1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and

have overcome them, because the one who is in you
is greater than the one who is in the world.

Victory was consistently identified with God:
Deuteronomy 20:4
For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against
your enemies to give you victory."
