• The Students Rights and


Responsibilities Office
(SRRO) assists students with
understanding their rights
and responsibilities.

• The SRRO is committed to


promoting a safe and
successful experience for NC
students by adhering to the
fair and transparent
principles outlined in the
Student Code of Conduct
Policy located here

• Please familiarize yourself


with the policy

YOUR PROFESSORS
COMMIT TO …
• You receiving instruction for the # of
hours specified on your timetable with
classes starting and finishing as
scheduled

• Providing at least ONE week’s notice


for major tests or assignments

• Ensuring you receive sufficient,


concrete, and timely feedback on your
evaluations

• Returning your course work promptly

MANAGING
YOUR TIME

• Your Professors will assign your


coursework evaluation
(assignments, tests, projects,
etc.) with a corresponding
deadline/date.

• Respect these deadlines and


COMMUNICATE to your
Professor AHEAD OF TIME if
you’re struggling to meet a
deadline – we’re here to help
you succeed!

MISSED
EVALUATIONS
• Missing an evaluation could lead to a
missed grade (and we don’t want
that!) – be sure to notify your
Professor a minimum of 5 days
ahead of time for any planned
absences, or as soon as possible for
any emergency absences so they can
support you.

• The Missed Evaluation Policy is


important to review and can be
found here

• Whether a planned or emergency


absence, you’ll need a copy of the
Student Absence Request form to
submit to your Professor, and you’ll
find it here

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY
What does this mean?

It means upholding NC’s values with respect


to the production of your academic work
and the completion of quizzes, tests and
exams
