 People have been
talking about how
Hindi actors are great
and far more talented
and how Hindi films
have a far wider reach
than any regional
South Indian films.
This presentation is for
those people and all
other Rajini fans.

 Lets just compare on the popularity of Hindi
film stars and Rajinikanth.

 Sivaji till now in US
alone is having a
total of 340 shows.
These 340 shows
are confirmed ones
from Indiaglitz. It
may increase
based on how the
fans respond.

 There are a total of 6 Hindi films that
are currently running or is scheduled
to run in US. They are:
 Fool and Final
 Metro
 Shootout at lokhandwala
 Cheeni Kum
 Jhoom Bharabar Jhoom.

 Number of shows for each movie:
 Fool and Final: 46 shows
 Metro: 8 shows
 Cheeni Kum: 61 shows
 Jhoom : 254 shows
 Shootout: 40 shows
 Tara rum pum: 1 shows
 Total: 410 shows altogether.

 Now lets do some analysis.
 I am assuming that the average
capacity of all the theaters here in US
would be 400.
 I am giving the benefit of the doubt
to all the movies listed, that it would
run packed houses.

 The lowest price of ticket for all Hindi
movies is $6(for children) and $10 for
adults.
 The lowest price for Sivaji is $8 for
children( at very few places) and $16
for adults.
 The maximum rate for hindi movies is
$10, whereas for Sivaji it goes to
$21.

 So on an average I am pricing Sivaji
tickets at $15
 Hindi movie tickets at $10. Even
though the average would be far less
than that, I am still giving that to my
North Indian friends. 

 So based on the assumption, the total
gross for hindi movies is:

 410 shows * 400 * $10

 The grand total of $1.64 million or in

Indian rupees: 6crs and 56 lacs (at
Rs. 40/$)
The Boss Arrives.
 Now lets see Sivaji’s
collection.

 Grand total: $2.04

million or in Indian
rupees: 8crs and 16
lacs ( same Rs.40/$)
 6 Hindi movies put
together is less than
our thalaivar movie. 
Possible counters
 For people who are going to argue that there is no
guarantee that Sivaji is going to run packed houses,
my reply is:

The same applies to the hindi movies and with crazy

show times which start at afternoon 1 on weekdays
for Jhoom (65 of 254 shows are before evening 6)
there is a even higher possibility that it would collect
far less than Sivaji.

But all sivaji shows except on weekend(4 or 5 shows)

have primetime shows on weekdays and it has more
possibility of having full house.
Possible counters
 If people say the
average of Sivaji
ticket cannot be
$15:
Please check India
glitz and u would
find the answer for
the question. In
fact $15 is a very
modest average
price.
Conclusion.
 Next time before you talk anything
about Rajni, think about this ppt and
to all Rajni fans, if somebody talks
bad about rajinikanth:

and they would surely not speak
