Tournament Objectives
• Work towards stronger engagement in sports events in a country
where practicing could be hard and provide women with
positive reinforcement about their sports participation on a
regular basis

• The participation of women in sport challenges gender stereo-


types and discrimination, and can therefore be a vehicle to
promote gender equality and the empowerment of women

• Sport as a compelling leadership platform for young women in


their families, communities and society
Tournament Message
• Sports can promote psychological well being through building
self-esteem, confidence and social integration, as well as help
reduce stress, anxiety, loneliness and depression.

• Real power of sport is not just the success on the field but how it
can be used to teach valuable lessons and create healthy habits
that last a lifetime

• Learn about teamwork, goal setting, the pursuit of excellence in


performance and other achievement-oriented behaviors critical
for success in the work place
Event Details
• To be held from 4 Sept to 17 Sept, 2015

• 12 days in all, inclusive of weekends

• 3 Team Sports – Basketball, Volleyball, Handball

• 4 Individual Sports – Swimming, Cycling, Chess & Badminton

• Emirati Ladies from 27 govt. organizations and 3 semi-govt.
organizations from Dubai

• Total Reach targeted – Approx 70,000 Govt. employees/ Semi-

• To try and reach Approx 20,000 Women Employees


Marketing Plan
eDMs
Consistent series of eDMs to be distributed to current database,
government employees through the HR Departments of all 27
Government organizations, men included, leveraging approved key
messages & supporting the PR plan to a total of around 70,000
employees
Marketing Packs
Marketing “packs” to be created: flyers, posters, roll up, eDMs and
social media assets. These media packs will be distributed to
specific communities targeting key audiences. Areas will include:
• Reception of all Government Organizations,
• Ladies health clubs associated with Govt. organizations,
• Cafes inside the govt. organizations
• Advertisements in the internal magazine* of these
organizations

Road Show : One day road show planned at each of the 27
