Background
Social interaction is a variety of social relations related to the relationship
between individuals and individuals, between individuals and groups and between
groups and groups. If there is no social interaction, then in this world there is no
living together.

Social interaction itself is a dynamic relationship, where the relationship is related to relationships
between individuals, between one group and another, as well as the relationship between individuals and
groups. It is not uncommon to say that it will be difficult for a person to survive if he does not interact
with another individual.

The purpose of this study was to determine the
relationship between social interaction and
learning achievement in Indonesian in class XI
SMA Gunung Madu. Humans as social beings
certainly need an interaction because basically
humans need each other.
With social interaction we can interact with
others. Another goal is to prove whether social
interaction is related to learning achievement in
Indonesian.

Interaction

Nasdian opinion, social interaction is a social intensity that regulates how people
behave and interact with one another. Social interaction is the basis for creating
patterned social relations called social structure.

Setiadi & Kolip defines, that social interactions are relationships involving individuals,
between groups, as well as between individuals and groups.

Achievement

According to Rosyid Moh. Zaiful, et al (2019: 9)


defines learning achievement expressed in the form
of symbols, numbers, letters, or sentences that can
reflect the results achieved by each student in a
certain period and it can be stated that learning
achievement is the result of a learning activity
accompanied by changes that students achieve.

Winkel (1996:226) prefer that Learning


Achievement is evidence of success that has
been achieved by a person.

Cognitive, is mental activity (brain), are: knowledge,


1 understanding, application, and assessment.

Affective is a domain related to attitudes and values,


2 including behavioral traits such as feelings, interests,
attitudes, emotions and values.

Psychomotor is a domain related to skills or the


3 ability to act after a person receives a certain learning
experience.

The method used in this research is a qualitative method.

Population and Sample


The population in this study were 15 students in class XI A2 SMA Gunung Madu.

The sample used in this study was XI A2 with a total of 14 students.


Research Instrument
Research Instrument is a tool used to collect
data or measure the object of a research
variable. Observation as a data collection
technique has specific characteristics when
compared to other techniques, interviews and
questionnaires

Results

Discussion
Results
From the results of observations, the average class XI A2 students have good
social interactions. The table made shows that there are still students who need to
improve their social interaction in class.

Discussion
The results of testing the research hypothesis showed that social interaction has a
significant positive relationship with learning achievement. This shows that
someone who has high social interaction has high learning outcomes and rather,
people who have low social interaction have low learning outcomes.

Conclutions
Based on the results of observations that have been observed, it can be concluded
that there is a relationship between social interaction and student learning
outcomes. The higher the social interaction of students, the higher the learning
outcomes. And rather, the lower the social interaction of students, the lower the
learning outcomes.

Suggestions
1 For Students
For students who have low social interaction, they should increase their social interaction,
so that in carrying out daily activities they do not experience obstacles in communicating
with others and improve learning achievement.
2 For Teachers
The supervising teacher should be able to increase students' social interaction through
supporting activities.
3 For Schools
Suggestions for schools are to pay attention that the school environment is also a factor for
increasing students' social interactions. Schools can create a good and conducive
environment to live in, it is hoped that the social interactions that occur in them will also be
good, so that their achievements can be improved
