OPENING PRAYER

Dear God,

We thank you for all the blessings you've given to us. We thank you
for giving us another day to fulfill our mission for this day. As we
start this day may you continue to guide us and give strength to learn
new things.

Amen.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM

R. From heaven the Lord looks down on the earth.

The nations shall revere your name, O LORD,

and all the kings of the earth your glory,
When the LORD has rebuilt Zion
and appeared in his glory;
When he has regarded the prayer of the destitute,
and not despised their prayer.

R. From heaven the Lord looks down on the earth.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM

Let this be written for the generation to come,

and let his future creatures praise the LORD:
“The LORD looked down from his holy height,
from heaven he beheld the earth,
To hear the groaning of the prisoners,
to release those doomed to die.”

R. From heaven the Lord looks down on the

earth.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM

The children of your servants shall abide,

and their posterity shall continue in your presence,
That the name of the LORD may be declared in
Zion,
and his praise, in Jerusalem,
When the peoples gather together,
and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.

R. From heaven the Lord looks down on the

earth.
GOSPEL READING
Mk 8:27-33

Jesus and his disciples set out

for the villages of Caesarea Philippi.
Along the way he asked his
disciples,
“Who do people say that I am?”
They said in reply,
“John the Baptist, others Elijah,
still others one of the prophets.”
And he asked them,
“But who do you say that I am?”
Peter said to him in reply,
“You are the Christ.”
GOSPEL READING
Mk 8:27-33

Then he warned them not to tell anyone

about him.

He began to teach them

that the Son of Man must suffer greatly
and be rejected by the elders, the chief
priests, and the scribes,
and be killed, and rise after three days.
He spoke this openly.
GOSPEL READING
Mk 8:27-33

Then Peter took him aside and began to

rebuke him.
At this he turned around and, looking at
his disciples,
rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind me,
Satan.
You are thinking not as God does, but as
human beings do.”
Moment of silence
Let us pray;

Dear God,

We are grateful for the gift of your Son, who teaches us to love and
serve others and who sacrificed himself for our salvation.

Help us to live according to Jesus' teachings and to accept the

difficult truths he brings, even when they challenge our understanding
or our beliefs. We know that following Jesus requires us to trust in
you and to give up our own desires, and we pray for the strength to do
so, especially when we face adversity or doubt.

When we fall short, we pray for your forgiveness and your guidance,
that we may better understand your will for us and live in accordance
with it.

We ask all of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, who leads us
on the path of love and service.

Amen.
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against
us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.
CLOSING PRAYER
Heavenly Father,

As we close this virtual meeting, we give thanks for the time we have spent
together, even though we are physically apart. We are grateful for the
opportunity to connect with one another and to collaborate for a common
purpose.

As we go our separate ways, we ask for your continued guidance and support.
May the ideas we have shared and the decisions we have made be guided by
your wisdom and your love. May we always remember that we are part of a
larger community, and may we work towards the common good in all that we
do.

We pray for the health and safety of all those present, as well as for their
families and loved ones. May we all find peace and comfort in your presence,
and may we continue to support and encourage one another in the days and
weeks ahead.

We ask all of these things in your holy name,
