ONCE UPON A
TIME
INTRODUCTION
the great god Kabunian decided that he
was lonely. He came up with the idea of shaping a
man out of clay that he could bring to life and talk
to. He would then be able to put man in charge of
the other beings on the Earth every now and then.
He decided that he would make the clay man look
like himself.
After shaping some Earth-sourced clay into the form of
a man, Kabunian placed it inside his oven. He toured the Earth
and entertained himself while he waited for the clay man to
solidify, but Kabunian lost track of time. His first clay man was
completely burnt when he realized he had left something in the
oven longer than necessary. It had hair that was tightly curled
from the heat and was as black as coal everywhere. In any case,
Kabunian saw it as a magnificent creation and gave it life.
However, it was not yet the kind of man he initially desired. So,
Kabunian made the decision to try it again. He baked the second man made of
clay. However, Kabunian brought the clay man out while it was still in its raw
state this time because he was so eager to see what would emerge. The second
clay man was solid enough despite being so pale that we now consider it raw. It
was well received by Kabunian, who then gave it life. However, it was still not
the kind of man he initially desired. Kabunian decided to be cautious on his
third and last attempt.
When his third clay figure baked to perfection, he kept watch
over the time. When his clay figure was finally removed from the oven,
it was the ideal shade of brown, had straight, dark hair, and had a smile
on its face. Kabunian delightedly gave this third clay figure life since he
adored it.
Nonetheless, Kabunian eventually learned to love all three
races of men equally. He started by urging the three Races to get along
because, in reality, they are all descended from the same clay and are
consequently related.
