 “415 million” diabetic patients worldwide
 26.7% of adults are affected by diabetes in Pakistan
making the total number of 33 million
 Technology can be a chance to assist diabetic
patients
 International Diabetes Foundation, suggest 400k
Pakistanis died from the condition in 2021. [1]
 Providing platform to tackle diabetes type-1
Stakeholders
 Patients / Parents: Patients and parents benefit
from a user-friendly interface, educational resources,
personalized dashboards, in-app messaging,
appointment scheduling, medication management,
community support, data privacy, and regular updates
 Doctor: Doctors, endocrinologists, and diabetes
specialists are key stakeholders. They can use the
app to connect with patients remotely, review their
health data, and provide timely medical advice
 Pharmacy: Implement a medication tracking feature
with reminders and refill notifications. This ensures
patients adhere to their treatment plans

PROBLEM STATEMENT

 Lack of awareness about “Type 1 diabetes”


 Siblings of a patient have an increased risk of
developing Type 1 diabetes
 Record keeping of the medical reports
 Challenges in accessing medicines at pharmacies
Diabetes Type - 1
Type 1 Diabetes: In this condition, your body doesn't make a
substance called insulin, which is needed to use sugar (glucose)
for energy.
Symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes:
 Thirst: You might feel very thirsty because your body is
trying to get rid of extra sugar through urine.
 Hunger: Even if you eat, you can still feel very hungry
because your cells can't use the sugar for energy.
 Weight Loss: You may lose weight unintentionally because
your body starts using fat and muscles for energy.
 Fatigue: Without enough sugar in your cells, you might feel
tired and weak.
PROPOSED SOLUTION
 Raise awareness about Type 1 diabetes
 Implement a monitoring system for siblings'
diabetes risk
 Establish a digital medical report management
system
 Enhance medical record-keeping practices
 Improve medicine accessibility at pharmacies

 Awareness about type – 1 diabetes
