TECHO'S WORK BY JOSE ESCOBAR INTRODUCTION TO TECHO IN HONDURAS
• Welcome to Techo in Honduras, a non-
profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by the housing crisis in Honduras and Latín America • The mission this program is simple yet powerful: to provide safe and dignified housing for families living in poverty. We believe that everyone deserves a place to call home, and we work tirelessly to make that a reality for as many people as possible. THE HOUSING CRISIS IN HONDURAS • Honduras is facing a severe housing crisis that affects millions of people. Over half of the population lives in inadequate housing, lacking basic amenities such as running water, electricity, and sanitation facilities. This has a profound impact on their health, education, and overall quality of life of the latín América population.
• The situation is particularly dire for those living
in informal settlements, where families are often forced to build makeshift homes on land that they do not own. These homes are often constructed from materials such as cardboard, plastic, and scrap metal, which provide little protection from the elements. In addition, families living in these settlements are at risk of eviction and displacement, as they have no legal right to the land they occupy. HOW TECHO IS MAKING A DIFFERENCE
• Techo is making a significant impact in Honduras
by providing safe and sustainable housing solutions to those in need. Through their community-driven approach, Techo works closely with local residents of the area students and volunteers to identify the most pressing needs and develop customized solutions that meet their unique circumstances.
• The Techo makes a campaingn that last 2 days.
This collection is done by volunteers as a matter of fact, 70 percent of their yearly fonds are collected in those two days. TECHO'S COLLABORATIVE APPROACH
• Techo's collaborative approach is at the heart of
its mission to address the housing crisis in Honduras. By working closely with local communities, governments, and other organizations, Techo is able to create sustainable solutions that have a lasting impact and am thankful to say that I will apport to this inpact in Honduran society.
