Definition of public transportation: Public

provided for use by the general public. It includes

governments or transportation companies with
the aim of providing affordable and accessible
transportation services for everyone.
Difference between public transportation and

differs from private transportation as its focus is

motorcycles for their travels.
TYPES OF PUBLIC

Bus: Buses are the most common and widely used mode of public transportation.
They operate on fixed routes and pick up and drop off passengers at various
stops.
Train: Trains are a public transportation system that uses rails to transport
passengers along predetermined routes. They can include urban commuter trains,
subways, or long-distance trains.
Metro: The metro, also known as the subway or underground, is an urban railway
system that operates underground. They usually have dense routes and serve as
the backbone of urban transportation.
Ferry: Ferries are used to transport passengers across bodies of water, such as
rivers or straits. They are prevalent in cities with geographical features like
islands or large river flows.
