Institute - PMI?
 It is the biggest Professional Association for Project
Management in the world

 It was established in the USA. In 1969 with only 5 members.

 Today, the PMI has more than 800,000 members in more than
185 countries.

 Its main objectives are:


 Promote Project Management as a Profession.
 Share Project Management Best Practices.
 Do Research.

 They are well organized, passionate and goal-oriented people.
 Project Managers are change agents.
 They work well under pressure and are comfortable with change

 It is a standard, a guide developed by PMI (it is not a
methodology).
 It contains fundamentals in Project Management.
 Promote a common lexicon and a consistent structure for
