UPSC (union public service commission)

The Union Public Service Commission is an important arm of the union government that
recruit administrative level officers for the union government.

The UPSC conducts the Civil Services Examination (CSE), popularly known as IAS (Indian
Administrative Service) exam. It is conducted in two phases namely- UPSC Prelims and UPSC
Mains. The prelims exam comprises objective-type questions, while the questions asked in mains
need descriptive and essay-type answering. The UPSC is responsible for conducting various
examinations for the post like IAS, IPS, IFS etc.
Eligibility criteria for UPSC
1.Education qualification: must hold a graduate degree from a recognised university
2.UPSC civil services exam age limit: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age and must
not be more than 32 years of age.

This exam has total of three phases


1.premils
2.mains
3.interview
Generally application form for premils will be start on first week of February and ends on last week of
February .
After applying the admit card will release around three weeks before the commencement of the
examination.
UPSC conducts the premils examination on the last Sunday of may or the first Sunday of June. The
results are declared about 30-40 days after the examination.
After qualifying this phase the main exam is usually conduct in the month of September.
And then interview/personality test.
