1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1. Climate
 Most area of Germany has a temperate climate
 Winters range from cold to cool and often overcast with
limited rainfall, while summers can vary from hot and
dry to cool and rainy.
 The northern areas have a common westerly wind that
brings in moist air from the North Sea, regulating the
temperature and increases rainfall. In contrast, the
southeast regions have more extreme temperatures.

With 3.7 million inhabitants, Berlin is the
most populous city in the European Union.
