Densifier to produce bricks, plant box, etc. at the MRPC.
❖ Continuous implementation of Palit-Bigas Program (rice
commodities in exchange of residual waste with potential to be
recycled/recyclable materials not accepted by junkshops)
❖ Continuous implementation of Libmanan Plastic-Free Ordinance
❖ Strict implementation of the Municipal Ordinance No. 08--03
and other related SWM Ordinances
❖ Improvement of the existing Barangay Materials Recovery

❖ Conduct continuous training to the barangay relative to proper implementation of RA 9003,
existing municipal ordinances and other recycling and processing strategies.

❖ Procurement of additional dump truck and compactor garbage truck
❖ Annual provision of protective gears, equipment's (PPEs) and supplies

❖ Conduct continuous training for SWM staff and collection personnel on proper handling, managing and
processing of collected solid wastes
❖ Compel the Barangays to activate their existing Barangay Solid Waste Management Committee
❖ Capacitate Barangays of their own SWM Collection System
❖ Established Clustered Collection Point/Drop Off for Upland, Coastal, River, Rail Road and Highways

Operation and Maintenance of SWM Equipment

STRATEGIES:

❖ Provide continuous training to garbage collectors, machine operator and


facility managers on proper operation and maintenance of all SWM
facilities and equipment
❖ Conduct monthly monitoring of the condition of all SWM equipment
and quarterly monitoring of all SWM facilities using a condition
checklist tool to be prepared by the MENRO in order to track the
physical conditions of all SWM facilities and equipment
