INTERACTION TO A LIVABLE COMMUNITY

DESIGN CONCEPT
The idea for the design concept of this project proposal was taken inspiration from the Philippine flag. It's the nation's
emblem for freedom. Like the symbols that represent the Philippine flag, this project proposal conceptualizes the aspects
of design to form the connection between human interaction and the environment.

FORM CONCEPT
The form concept of the project was derived from the Philippine Flag, which consists of bicolor blue that represent
peace, truth, & justice, the colored that represent patriotism and valor. the sun symbolizes unity, freedom, democracy
and sovereignty.

RATIONALE
The project proposal entitled Parque de lmus aims to use architecture to provide a well-designed public space for the
community that will help to enhance their physical, social and mental wellbeing by implementing the ecotecture as a
design approach.

PERMEABLE PAVEMENT
Permeable pavement catches
precipitation and surface runoff, storing
it in the reservoir while slowly allowing
it to infiltrate into the soil below or
discharge via a drain tile.
RAINWATER HARVESTER
Rainwater harvesting systems
range from simple rain barrels to
more elaborate structures with
pumps, tanks, and purification
systems. The nonportable water
can be used to irrigate landscaping,
flush toilets, or wash cars.
SOLAR STREET LIGHT
The solar panel is one of the most
important parts of solar street lights. as
the solar panel will convert solar energy
into electricity.
BIOFILTRATION & BIORETENTION
SYSTEM
Bioretention is an important technique that
uses soil, plants and microbes to treat
stormwater before it is infiltrated or
discharged and the Biofiltration wastewater
treatment plant works by using bacteria to
effectively break down any pollutants that
exist in the wastewater.

ECOTECTURE
Ecotecture is the art and science of
designing human systems that are
integrated, functionally and
aesthetically, with natural
ecosystems.
The word "ecotecture" is a
combination of the words
"ecology." meaning the totality or
pattern of relations between living
organisms and their environment.
and "architecture." which Webster's
currently defines as the art and
science of building.
MATERIAL CONCEPT
POLYCARBONATE SHEET
Polycarbonate sheets are produced in
multi-wall and solid constructions, and the
material itself is translucent. lightweight,
and extremely durable.
LOW-E GLASS
Low-E glass is produced by treating its
surface with an invisible and thin
metallic oxide coating that reflects heat
into the living space.
REINFORCED CONCRETE
This made to use the compressive strength
of concrete and tensile strength of steel at
the same time, hence, work together to
resist many types of loading.
STRUCTURAL CONCEPT
TENSILE STRUCTURE
Tensile structure is the term usually used to refer to the construction of roofs using a
membrane held in place on steel cables. Their main characteristics are the way in which they
work under stress tensile, their ease of pre-fabrication, their ability to cover large spans. and
their malleability.

STEEL FRAMING
Steel frame buildings are metal structures, consisting of horizontal steel beams and vertical
columns, welded
together in a rectangular grid to support floors, walls and roofs of buildings.

PEANUT GRASS
Arachis glabrata (creeping forage peanut,
rhizoma peanut, rhizoma perennial peanut,
perennial forage peanut, golden glory,
ornamental peanut grass) is a high-quality
forage plant native to Argentina, Brazil, and
Paraguay vegetation. This plant is also used
for soil conservation and as an ornamental
plant.

Eugenia, Topiary (Eugenia myrtifolia)
This evergreen shrub is generally only
available in topiary forms that are
sheared into almost any shape such as
cones, spirals, or balls. Grow the plants
in containers so you can move them
indoors when frost threatens

MALABULAK TREE
Bombax ceiba, like other trees of the genus
Bombax, is commonly known as cotton
tree. More specifically, it is sometimes
known as Malabar silk-cotton tree; red
silk-cotton; red cotton tree; or
ambiguously as silk-cotton or kapok, both
of which may also refer to Ceiba
pentandra.
