LONGITUDINAL PARKING SYSTEM

The LP car parking system was developed for narrow and limited spaces. A longitudinal configuration
reduces the width requirement. This means LP can fit in where narrow rows of buildings are being
refurbished or in small spaces between existing buildings. In short: it fits everywhere.
LP is suitable for underground, above-ground or mixed construction. With a height of 16 m and a
length of up to 100 m, it can accommodate up to 60 vehicles of any size. In the LP system, the vehicle
pallets are placed on a self-supporting steel structure or directly inside the concrete building itself. This
gives planners and architects maximum flexibility for positioning and for using space. The height of the
system is determined only by local conditions. This also applies to the number of levels and thus the
number of parking spaces.
With LP, vehicles are parked parallel to the storage and retrieval unit. Several cars can be placed behind
one another or side by side. With the longitudinal configuration, there can be up to three parking spaces to
the left and right of the storage and retrieval unit.
The LP system comes in two variants, which differ in the position of the transfer room. With LPM the
transfer room is located in the center, above the storage and retrieval unit. By contrast, it is located at the
side in LPS. With both variants the storage and retrieval unit can be designed as a lift with a shuttle
mounted on it (as in the TP system) or as a longitudinally driven version (as in the UP car parking system).
A second storage and retrieval unit is provided for high turnover and short access times.
In the LP system, storage and retrieval of the vehicle pallets are handled by a chain conveyor on the
storage and retrieval unit. We successfully use this solution in sheet-metal stores and other applications
too. Its operation is almost wear-free. Depending on the chosen system, the storage and retrieval unit
retrieves the vehicle pallet directly from the transfer room, or the pallet is conveyed by a lift under the
transfer room to the exact position.
Components of LPM

Transfer Room
•The transfer room is the entrance to our fully automatic parking system. This is where users hand

over their vehicles.

•The entry to the transfer room can be adapted to structural conditions. With the help of our turntable,

the angle of entry to the system can be planned as needed.

•With or without a turntable, the transfer rooms in our parking systems provide generous space. Users

can enter and leave their vehicles from all sides, which makes parking much more convenient.

•For greater safety in parking, our transfer rooms have the latest technical equipment. Visual markers

guide users to the correct position on the pallet. Sensors check the height and weight of each vehicle,

as well as its length and width. Additional scanners check whether anyone is still in the transfer room

or vehicle before the vehicle is passed on to the system.

SYSTEM FEATURES

•Available with or without a turntable

•Designed according to architectural requirements and needs

•Generous space for parking and picking up vehicles

Components of LPM

Turn Table
•The turntable is the ideal enhancement to our fully automated parking systems. It can rotate the vehicle

into almost any position, making parking and retrieval much more convenient. As the platform can be

turned by almost 360°, a suitable entry angle to the transfer room is assured even under special

structural conditions.

•Users do not have to negotiate difficult ramps or tight curves when parking their cars, as in

conventional car parks. Damage to the vehicle, like scratches and scrapes, is ruled out.

•Vehicles are always turned so that they face in the driving direction. This makes the system more

convenient and user-friendly.

•If a turntable cannot be installed in the transfer room for structural reasons, it can be mounted on the

storage and retrieval unit. In any case, vehicles will always be delivered to drivers facing in the driving

direction.
SYSTEM FEATURES
•Users can enter and leave facing in the driving direction

•Angle of entry to the car park can be planned as needed

•Space-saving placement in the system is possible

Components of LPM

Pallets

•Users park their vehicles on pallets. Our systems are generously dimensioned, enabling them to

accommodate a variety of vehicles. All of our pallets are the same size, which means that the storage and

retrieval unit does not have to adapt to vehicles of different sizes. The system is more effective as a result.

•Sloped recesses in the pallets make it easier for users to position their vehicles correctly. Another

advantage is that the vehicles sit somewhat lower, making the best possible use of space within the

system.

SYSTEM FEATURES
•For all common passenger cars and SUVs

•Rollers for gentle handling

•Sloped recesses for exact positioning of vehicles

Components of LPM

Storage and Retrieval Unit

•The storage and retrieval unit is the key element of our

fully automated parking systems. It makes it possible to

convey vehicles on pallets inside the system.

•The unit accelerates and decelerates slowly to ensure that

vehicles are moved extremely gently on their pallets, with

no risk of damage.

•The storage and retrieval unit travels horizontally along

the aisle as well as vertically from level to level of the

parking system.

COMPACT PARKING SYSTEM

•Unlike our other parking systems, the Compact system

is semi-automatic. It was designed to accommodate up

to three times as many vehicles on the same footprint.

In its basic structure, it is like a stack of several garages

(up to three). Entry is always from the ground level.

•The number of “garages” placed next to each other can

be freely chosen depending on need. However, to have

any benefit from this system there should at least be

two.

SHUTTLE PARKING SYSTEM

•The fully automated SP car parking system was developed to accommodate large numbers of cars as
quickly as possible in the smallest possible space. This variable and exclusive type of parking can
even be incorporated into existing buildings. To make efficient use of the space, vehicles inside a
block are placed side by side as well as vertically on special vehicle pallets.
•The parking spaces are protected from unauthorized access. A shuttle conveys cars
automatically from the transfer room to the parking spaces. To the right and left of the shuttle
lane, up to two vehicles can be parked one behind the other, and an almost unlimited number
can be placed side by side. The number of shuttles per level can be increased in order to
optimize the turnover of vehicles parked side by side.

•Space is best utilized if a number of vehicles are stacked vertically. Vehicles are moved from
one level to the next via a separate lift system immediately above or below the transfer room.
Each parking level has a separate shuttle, ensuring rapid access to retrieve the vehicle.
•This parking system auto- SP was designed for a high number of parking places and a high
throughput capacity. Due to its modular design it can be adapted to various building requirements. The
combination of vertical car lifts passing all parking levels and horizontal shuttles servicing every
parking level allows for various scopes of design.

UNIVERSAL PARKING SYSTEM

•The UP car parking system creates parking spaces economically. Examples include
commercial buildings, office buildings and buildings accessible to the public. Cars are
arranged side by side and behind one another on several levels, making maximum use of a
small space.

•The parking spaces in the self-supporting steel structure or concrete structure are accessed
by a specially designed storage and retrieval unit that travels over the entire length of the car
parking system and has an integral lifting unit that enables it to reach all levels. The system
lifts and lowers while moving longitudinally. The combination of movements in a single unit
saves a lot of space and permits fast access times.
•The parking system auto- UP is the universal parking system, that enables you to

build more parking places more economically in office buildings, hotels, residential

buildings or public parking systems. About 100 parking places for various vehicle

heights can be handled by only 1 storage and retrieval unit in a max. height of 20 m.

The rack structure can be built above ground, underground or in a mixed solution.

TOWER PARKING SYSTEM

•Our TP parking system was designed to provide a large number of parking spaces

on a small footprint. As the name says, this is a tower-like structure with a height of

up to 50 m. It has a modular design, permitting above-ground, underground or

mixed construction. Above ground, cars are parked on a self-supporting steel

structure; below ground, they are parked inside a concrete structure.

•The lift moves over the whole height of this fully automated system. To its left and

right, up to two vehicles can be parked behind one another, and as many as five

vehicles can be placed side by side. In the vertical direction, the number of levels

depends on the vehicle heights and local height restrictions.

•Due to its modular design, the parking system auto- TP can be
adapted to many requirements up to a height of 50 m. Transfer
rooms can be located on every parking level and by using a lateral
car lift they also can be located above the parking system.
•The rack structure can be built above ground, underground or in a
mixed solution. The parking places can be located in a free standing
rack structure (above ground) as well as in concrete building
(underground). To increase throughput capacity, multiple transfer
rooms may be used.
