This document discusses applications of differential equations in RL circuit problems. It describes an RL circuit as consisting of a resistor and inductor, either in series driven by a voltage source or in parallel driven by a current source. Some applications of RL circuits include RF amplifiers, communication systems, filtering circuits, oscillator circuits, and more. Diagrams are included showing the circuit and graphs of current over time for an RL circuit with a switch.

A resistor – inductors circuit(RL circuit) , or RL filter or RL network , is an electric circuit composed of one resistor and inductors driven by a voltage or current source.
A first order RL circuit is composed of one resistor and one inductors ,
either in series driven by a voltage source or in parallel driven by a current source. It is one of the simplest analogue infinite impulse response electronic filters.
A RL series circuit consists basically of an inductor of inductance , L
connected in series with resistor of resistance ,R. The applications of RL circuit include the following.
• RF Amplifiers.
• Communication Systems.
• Filtering Circuits Processing of Signal.
• Oscillator Circuits.
• Magnification of Current or Voltage.
• Variable Tunes Circuits.
• Radio Wave Transmitters.
RL CIRCUIT
An RL circuit with a switch to A graph of current
turn current on and off. When A graph of current growth versus time in position 1, the battery, growth versus time when the switch is when the switch is resistor, and inductor are in moved to position 1 series and a current is moved to position established. In position 2, the 1 battery is removed and the current eventually stops because of energy loss in the resistor.
