THE IMPLEMENTATION OF KID-KIT! FOR

STUDENTS IN DON GREGORIO
EVANGELISTA MEMORIAL SCHOOL
TITLE I

RATIONALE
Schools are meant to be a safe and secure environment where students can
learn and grow without the fear of harm or danger. Therefore, it is the responsibility
of each school to ensure the safety of students. Schools have to put in the effort to
determine the safety of the students and how they can implement safety protocols at
school. Many schools actually practice proper handwashing, tooth brushing,
cleanliness as well and first aid, like Don Gregorio Evangelista Memorial
Elementary School. DGEMS already implements health programs in their school
following the DepEd’s Oplan Kalusugan (OK) program. All 2,300+ students should
be educated in regard to improving their overall health. One reason why students
don't use the proper handwashing, tooth brushing, and first aid is because of, a lack
of supplies. This is where the Kid-Kit! Will take action. A Kid-kit! is a safety/health
kit where students will be able to have access to soap for handwashing, toothbrush &
and toothpaste, band-aids, cotton balls, alcohol for disinfection, and clean towel.
Having a Go-Kit! is an important step to prepare and protect the students at school
from unforeseen events. The Go-kit! is essential for short-term aid providing vital
items for the students that can improve their health and promote better personal
hygiene.
TITLE I

OBJECTIVES

• To encourage overall safety and good hygiene

for the students through the use of Go-Kit!
• To promote cleanliness inside and outside of
the school
• To aid recovery of small wounds

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A
COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE ON STRESS
MANAGEMENT FOR THE STUDENTS OF
BRENT HOSPITAL AND COLLEGES
INCORPORATED
TITLE I TITLE II

RATIONALE
College students suffer a great deal of stress because they are frequently
under a lot of pressure to do well in both their academic and social lives where it can
lead to mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, substance use, burnout, and
declining health and well-being. Students can reduce stress, succeed in college, and lead
balanced, healthy lives with the aid of an extensive stress management program. This
course/program will teach students useful stress-reduction techniques, such as making a
plan, exercising, maintaining a healthy diet, engaging in hobbies, forming a support
network, and thinking positively. Resources for students in need of extra help will also be
included in the program, including mental health and counseling services. This program
will be implemented in Brent Hospital and Colleges Incorporated which was established
in 1914. The institution opened in the said year and has since provided medical and
health services to the community. And since the said institute has provided such services
to the community, they tend to forget their own health. It is still important to take care
of our own mental health, especially when we are taking care of others.

OBJECTIVE
S
• To improve the academic performance of the
students in Brent

A flu shot is a vaccineE
for preventing influenza. Influenza, or the flu, is a
seasonal virus that affects the respiratory system. Vaccination is
important for people at risk of severe illness from the flu. It can have
some mild side effects, such as pain and bruising at the injection site. .
Don Gregorio Memorial School (DON GEMS), since the school is prone
to dengue and has a large population, it is better to have such an
influenza vaccination. Although the school offers counseling, it only
focuses on general such as Medical, School Dental Health Care Program
(SDHCP), Mental Health, National Drug Education Program (NDEP),
Adolescent Reproductive Health Program (ARHP), and School-based
Feeding Program (SBFP). The purpose of this program is to prevent or
lessen the possibility that students will become sick. According to a
study in Pediatrics, flu shots significantly reduce the risk of death from
the flu in those between the ages of 5 and 12 years.

OBJECTIVES

• to promote the optimal use of influenza vaccines

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF COUNSELING
PROGRAMS ON MENTAL HEALTH FOR
UNIQUE PROGRESS ACADEMY
STUDENTS
TITLE I TITLE II TITLE III TITLE IV

RATIONALE
Mental health is a condition of mental well-being that allows people to cope with
life's stressors, realize their strengths, study and work effectively, and contribute to
their community. It is an essential component of health and well-being that
underpins our individual and communal capacity to make decisions, form
connections, and affect the world in which we live. Providing counselling regarding
mental health will be implemented at Unique Progress Academy. UPA is located at
San Jose Road, Zamboanga, Zamboanga Del Sur. UPA is a public school that offers
preschool, elementary, SPED, and junior high school with a total number of 256
students. Guiding the students with their mental health is vital to ensuring their
long-term success. Counselors who assist students in managing their mental health
can do more than simply put them on the road to mental well-being; they can also
put them in a better position to prosper socially and intellectually. Providing
counseling services on mental health to the students should be implemented
because mental health conditions and issues such as depression, anxiety, and stress
goes bigger and bigger. And the common victims of these are the students.
Counseling can help to prevent the outcome of theses mental health conditions.
TITLE I TITLE II TITLE III TITLE IV

OBJECTIVES

• To ensure the good mental health of the

students
• To promote good relationships with others
and good connections between the students
• To advocate mental health and awareness in
the school.

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF HEALTH

CORNERS IN EACH CLASSROOMS
FOR THE STUDENTS OF BRENT
HOSPITAL AND COLLEGES

RATIONAL
E
Health corners are often seen during our elementary and high school days. This
is located at the very back corner in the classroom. This health corners are filled with any
health related tools/equipment that includes first aid kits and any legal drugs. This serve
as a comfort place for the students for them to take a rest if they are not feeling well.
Health corner for each classrooms will be implemented in Brent Hospital and Colleges
Incorporated which was established in 1914. The institution opened in the said year and
has since provided medical and health services to the community. Brent might have a
hospital in it, but cannot accommodate the students if they really need them. The health
corner for each classroom in Brent Hospital and Colleges must be implemented because it
can makes the life of the students in this institution easier. If the institutional/school
nurses cannot accommodate them, they can already take care of themselves. One more
reason why this health corner must be implemented is that if the nurses cannot
accommodate the students, they can already let them go home for them to take care of
themselves and take a rest. We cannot say what danger will await the students outside
the institution. That’s why we need to implement this health corner not just for the
health, but also for the safety of the students in this institution.
