Simple Sentence

• A sentence that consists of :


JUST ONE INDEPENDENT CLAUSE, has no dependent clause.
(A subject, a verb, a completed verb)

Example:
I can not drink cold coffee.
A day without sunshine is like night.
The prisoner and friend escaped.
Compound Sentence
• It has at least TWO INDEPENDENT CLAUSES
connected to one another with coordinating conjunction.

Example:
I always wanted to be somebody, but I should have been more specific.
Marry and Samantha arrived at the bus station before noon, and they left on the
bus before I arrived.

Complex Sentence
• A sentence is made up of independent clause and one or more
dependent clause connected to it.

Example:

When you write a comic strip, the person on the left always speaks
first.
While he waited at the train, Joe realize that the train was late.
