OBJECTIVE

• Understand the types, construction techniques, materials for

building structure such as wall, floor, column and beams.
• Understand the maintenance work involve such as replacement
and repair of the wall, floor, column and beams

Primary function of wall & partition
• Walls separate between inside and outside of buildings
• Partition and internal wall separate between spaces
• Walls are normally load bearing, whereas partition are not.
• Few types of non loadbearing partition wall are of flexible i.e slide
type or foldable.
• Protect building occupants from external weather
• Provide privacy to the inmates from sight and sound
