• 9 crore people are illiterate.
• Second largest – number of out of school
children.
• The total number of teachers is 1.8 million
• 3 million more teachers are required in order
to fulfill the deficit.

Strategy 4: Partnership with local organizations for scholarshi

How will you collaborate with local organisations to secure scholarships or financial aid
for students who face financial barriers to education?

• Create Unions of local government teachers from different


schools within a locality
• Provide training to teachers regarding the possible financial aid
and scholarships available
• Collaborate with platforms such as SIE ( Society of
International Education) for programs like Fulbright, YES,
UGRAD, Summersisters
