FLUORIDATION
• Dental caries- Most prevalent
chornic disease worldwide and
treatment is expensive
• Fluoride –Effective in the prevention
and treatment of caries
• Inverse relationship between
fluoride concentration is drinking
water and prevalance of dental
caries –Maximum protection against
dental caries with least risk of
dental fluorosis
